A Perfect 9" Cube. Versatile, Modular, Plug-In Ready.
The Jen-Ken AF3P Cube is the most versatile tabletop kiln in our catalog. The interior is a perfect 9" x 9" x 9" cube, which gives you almost twice the working depth of a standard bead annealer. That means you can fire taller pieces, slump or drape into smaller molds, anneal beads, fuse small platters, and tackle a wider range of projects from one compact kiln.
Even better, the Cube is modular. You can use it as a three piece stacked design when you need access from above, or attach the pieces with the hinged lid for a more traditional kiln setup. Configure it however works best for what you're making that day.
Like all the AF3P tabletop kilns, the Cube plugs into a standard 120V wall outlet (NEMA 5-15). No electrician, no special install, no panel work. Fires up to 2000°F, which is higher than most tabletop glass kilns and gives you real headroom for a broader range of work. At only 50 pounds, it sits comfortably on any sturdy bench or table.
Note: this kiln is side firing only. The elements are mounted on the sides for the controlled glass firing temperatures this kiln is built for.
Included with every order
A kiln shelf, posts, kiln wash, the AF3P digital controller, and a base brick (or optional stand). Plus a 2 year limited warranty through Jen-Ken and free shipping to the US Lower 48. Everything you need to start firing.
Who Is This Kiln For?
The AF3P Cube is built for a specific kind of artist. Here's how to tell if that's you.
✓ Glass artists who want to do more than just beads
The 9" depth opens up small slumping, draping, and fusing work on top of bead annealing. One kiln, multiple disciplines.
✓ Lampworkers wanting flexibility
Three piece modular design means you can configure the kiln for your workflow that day. Annealing beads in one setup, fusing or slumping in another.
✓ Beginners building a small home studio
Plug it into a regular outlet, set it on a table, and start firing. The versatile cube design grows with your skills as you explore different glass techniques.
✓ Hobbyists and weekend artists
If glass is your weekend craft and you don't want a kiln that takes over your garage, the Cube is the right size for serious work without the full studio commitment.
The AF3P Cube ships with the AF3P digital controller, which has the ability to store up to 6 custom firing profiles with 8 steps each. That's enough flexibility to keep separate programs for annealing, fusing, slumping, and draping all loaded at once, ready when you need them.
