What's the difference between the RM II and High Fire ceramic series?
The RM II series is rated to cone 8 (around 2300°F) and suits earthenware, mid-fire stoneware, and production studios that don't need maximum temperature. The High Fire series reaches cone 10 (2350°F) and is the right choice for stoneware and porcelain. Both are available in overlapping sizes.
Which Evenheat knife oven should I get?
The right model depends on your blade length and available power. The KH series runs on 120V for home shops without a 240V outlet. The KO and LB series require 240V and handle longer blades — the LB 18, 22.5, and 27 are specifically designed for swords and long-blade work. Ask us and we'll match you to the right oven.
Can I use an Evenheat knife oven for ceramics?
No — the knife ovens are built for metallurgical heat treating temperatures and cycles, not ceramic glazing. See the High Fire or RM II ceramic series instead.
Do Evenheat kilns ship quickly?
