The Paragon CT102322 Janus Ceramic and Glass Kiln delivers wide-chamber capacity, dual-mode firing, and dependable cone-10 performance in a versatile kiln designed for studios working in both ceramics and glass. With a 22.5" interior diameter and 22.25" depth (5.10 cu ft), it provides generous space for large platters, production pottery, and full multi-shelf loads while remaining accessible for easy loading. Built on Paragon's trusted Ceramic Top platform, this model combines proven durability with the flexibility of Janus dual-mode firing — an ideal centerpiece for busy studios and classrooms.
The Janus dual-mode system uses dedicated top and sidewall elements, controlled by a simple toggle switch. Glass mode activates the top and mid-side elements for controlled radiant heat — ideal for fusing, slumping, and sagging — while pottery mode uses sidewall elements only for even heat distribution during bisque and glaze firings up to cone 10. This flexibility makes the CT102322 Janus an excellent choice for multi-disciplinary artists or institutions looking to maximize capability without adding another kiln.
