52 Inches Wide, 15 Inches Deep. For Slumping Work That Goes Big and Tall.
If you've been working with deep slumping molds, draping over taller forms, or doing casting work that needs vertical room, you already know the standard ProFusion 52 might leave you wanting an extra few inches. The ProFusion 52 Deep is the answer. Same massive 52" wide by 26" long interior, but with 15" of depth instead of 12. Three more inches of headroom, 11.74 cubic feet of total capacity, and the ability to slump, drape, and cast pieces that simply won't fit in a standard fusing kiln.
It also keeps everything the ProFusion line is known for. The kiln ships with a solid 52" fiber shelf. Drop it onto the floor of the kiln and you've got an all fiber interior, top to bottom, which means fast ramps, fast cooldowns, and the ability to run multiple firings a day on smaller work. Big enough for your largest pieces, fast enough for everything else.
The lid is a spring assisted clamshell, so even at this size it feels surprisingly light to open and close. The whole kiln sits on an integrated stand with casters, putting the floor at a comfortable 34" loading height. You can load standing up, or assemble your piece right at the kiln. The controller mounts separately on the wall at eye level, so you're not bending over to program firings either.
The floor is built from individual uncemented kiln bricks, so if a brick ever gets damaged you swap it out instead of replacing the whole floor. Maxes out at 1700°F, plenty of headroom for full fuse, tack fuse, slumping, draping, and casting work.
Included with every order
Integrated stand with casters, solid 52" rigid fiber shelf, 2 year limited warranty through Jen-Ken, and free freight shipping to the US Lower 48.
Who Is This Kiln For?
The ProFusion 52 Deep is built for a specific kind of artist. Here's how to tell if that's you.
✓ Artists doing deep slumping and draping work
If you work with deep molds, tall forms, or large draped pieces, the extra 3" of depth is what makes the difference between a piece you can fire and one you can't.
✓ Cast glass artists working at scale
Casting work often needs vertical room for molds, pour spouts, and reservoirs. The 15" depth gives you serious working room for cast pieces other glass kilns can't accommodate.
✓ Architectural and commission based glass artists
If clients want door inserts, deep relief panels, sculptural wall work, or large slumped fixtures, the 52" Deep finally lets you take those commissions.
✓ Established studios scaling into bigger work
If your work has been getting larger and more dimensional, this is the kiln that lets you grow into sculptural and architectural pieces without size compromises.
The ProFusion 52 Deep ships standard with the Orton AutoFire 12 Key, which gives you reliable programmable firings with up to 4 custom programs. For more storage and remote control, upgrade at checkout to the TAP Smart Controller with Wi Fi. For a kiln of this size running long slumping or casting schedules, the TAP's remote control is genuinely useful since you can check status from anywhere instead of staying in the studio.
