Real Studio Performance on a Standard 120V Outlet

Max Temp
2250°F
Chamber
11" × 9"
Power
120V / 20A
Warranty
3 Years

If you want to fire serious work but your studio only has standard household power, the Cress ET911 was built for exactly your situation. It plugs into any standard 120V outlet — no electrician, no panel upgrade, no dedicated circuit. Just plug it in and fire.

The Cress ET911 is part of Cress's ET-Series, which means it ships with 3" firebrick walls instead of the 2.5" brick used on standard E-Series models. That extra half-inch of brick makes a real difference once you're firing regularly — better heat retention, steadier temperatures throughout the firing, and elements that don't have to work as hard to keep schedule.

The 11" W x 9" D firing chamber gives you 0.55 cubic feet of capacity — a solid working footprint for pottery, sculptural work, and full shelves of student or production pieces.

It fires up to 2250°F, putting you in the cone 6 range — comfortable for most studio work including porcelain, stoneware, glaze testing, and bisque firings.

The ET911 plugs into a standard 120V household outlet. Total draw is 1,700 watts at 20 amps.

Included with every order

heat-reflective stand (a Cress innovation — they were first to include this), full operator manual, a 3 year limited warranty through Cress, and free freight shipping to the US Lower 48.

You'll pick your digital controller at checkout. Cress kilns are designed around Bartlett-built controllers (Cress is part of the Bartlett family). Most buyers choose the Prodigy Touchscreen Smart Controller — a full-color touchscreen with intuitive ramp-and-hold programming, real-time monitoring, custom firing profile storage, and built-in safety diagnostics with over-temperature alerts and data logging. Not sure which controller fits your workflow? That's exactly the kind of thing we help with.

A note on lead time: Cress kilns are made-to-order at their facility in Carson City, Nevada, with current lead times running roughly 8-12 weeks. Give us a call before ordering and we'll confirm current production estimates.

Great 120V kiln for serious pottery work

Was worried I couldn't get a capable kiln without 240V — the Cress ET911 proved me wrong. Fires to 2250°F on a standard 15A outlet and the results have been impressive. I've fired it about 30 times since buying from Pro Kiln Supply and it's been rock solid.

Read on Reddit that this was a pretty good home kiln. They were right! I love it.

Love it! Perfect size for me at least. I'm just a beginner home potter and it works great.
