The Olympic 2318HE is the high-fire version of the 23″-wide shallow stackable — a 23⅜″ × 18″ chamber holding 4.7 cubic feet, built with 3″ firebrick and rated to cone 10 (2350°F). It's a favorite in school and community studios: wide enough to load efficiently, shallow enough that you're not reaching to the bottom of a deep well, and capable of porcelain and true high-fire stoneware.
The thicker brick isn't just about the temperature rating. It insulates better, so the kiln holds heat more efficiently, cools more gently, and asks less of its elements over the long run.
Like every 23″ and 28″ Olympic stackable, the 2318HE comes with a lid lift assist as standard equipment. And because the body comes apart into sections, it can get into a basement studio or through a standard doorway one ring at a time — with future element or brick work happening on one section instead of the whole kiln.

Bartlett KilnStar digital controller, lid lift assist, pilot light, 8″ metal stand, stainless steel jacket, observation plugs with peephole plugs, full instruction manual, and a 1-year limited kiln warranty through Olympic.
