Downdraft Car Gas Kiln — Rolling Cart Included, Built for Cone 10 Production
Max Temp
Cone 10 · 2350°F
Olympic Kilns builds powerful gas production kilns for potters and businesses — equipment that handles large-capacity loads with ease and is still affordable. Comparing gas to electric kilns is like comparing sports cars to sedans: gas kilns fire hot, run high-powered, and let you do techniques you simply cannot duplicate in an electric kiln, such as reduction.
Downdraft kilns route their exhaust and intake at the bottom and require a chimney or stack to induce enough draft to pull fresh air in for combustion. This DD30 Car model ships mounted on a heavy-duty rolling cart, so loading and positioning a production gas kiln is far easier.
Included with every order
Rolling cart, welded burner system with multi-burner ignition, thermocouple safety shut-off, peephole plugs, full operator manual, a 1 year limited warranty through Olympic, and free freight shipping to the US Lower 48.
Build options include a digital pyrometer, an electronic high-limit controller, and a stainless-steel or galvanized vent hood. Give us a call and we'll help you spec the right configuration for your studio.
A note on lead time: Olympic kilns are made-to-order at their Flowery Branch, Georgia facility. Give us a call before ordering and we'll confirm current production estimates.
