Comparing gas to electric kilns is like comparing sports cars to sedans: gas kilns fire hot, run high-powered, and let you do techniques you simply cannot duplicate in an electric kiln, such as reduction.
Downdraft kilns route their exhaust and intake at the bottom and require a chimney or stack to induce enough draft to pull fresh air in for combustion. This DD40 Car is the largest kiln in the rolling-cart downdraft lineup, mounted on a heavy-duty rolling cart so loading and positioning a full production gas kiln is far easier.

Rolling cart, welded burner system with multi-burner ignition, thermocouple safety shut-off, peephole plugs, full operator manual, a 1 year limited warranty through Olympic, and free freight shipping to the US Lower 48.
