What kiln is best for china painting?
China painting fires at relatively low temperatures with slow, controlled cycles, often over several firings as you build layers of overglaze, luster, and gold. A smaller kiln with a programmable controller is ideal — you get the gentle ramps and soaks the work needs without heating a large chamber for small pieces. Always follow your color or luster manufacturer's recommended firing schedule.
What cone do I need for porcelain?
It depends on the body. Many porcelain and porcelain-style clays mature anywhere from cone 6 to cone 10 — true high-fire porcelain is often cone 10 (about 2350°F). Check your clay manufacturer's recommended cone and choose a kiln rated at or above it.
Can I china paint in a regular pottery kiln?

Do I need 240V?
