The Durston Double Wedging Table is built for potters who need a larger, more expansive clay-prep workspace without compromising durability. Constructed from heavy-duty solid hardwood, it stays completely stable under pressure, so you can wedge confidently without any movement or shifting — ideal for shared studios, teaching environments, and high-volume production settings.
The 80mm-deep porous plaster top conditions clay effectively by absorbing excess moisture while preventing over-drying, and a dual ventilation system enhances airflow so the plaster dries quickly between sessions. The two plaster blocks are removable, making surface maintenance and long-term replacement simple. An adjustable cutting wire delivers clean, precise clay portioning, while the extended high-level shelf — mountable on either the left or right side to fit your studio layout — keeps scales, clay lumps, and tools within reach. A lower storage shelf keeps additional materials neatly organized, and protective wooden covers safeguard the plaster blocks while doubling as a useful secondary work surface.

Note: The hardwood lid is supplied as a natural, raw material component. Because hardwood is organic, changes in humidity and temperature may cause slight movement over time, including minor cupping or warping — this is normal and not a defect. A warped lid can typically be flattened by placing it on a level surface with even weight applied until it settles.
