The Paragon CT102329 Janus Ceramic and Glass Kiln delivers high-capacity performance, dual-mode firing, and dependable cone-10 results in a powerful kiln designed for studios working in both ceramics and glass. With a 22.5" interior diameter and 29" depth (7.10 cu ft), it offers exceptional vertical capacity for tall sculptural work, large batch firings, and full multi-shelf loads. Built on Paragon's trusted Ceramic Top platform, this model combines proven durability with the expanded flexibility of Janus dual-mode firing — a true workhorse for demanding studio environments and classrooms.
The Janus dual-mode system uses dedicated top and sidewall elements, controlled by a simple toggle switch. Glass mode activates the top and mid-side elements for controlled radiant heat — ideal for fusing, slumping, and sagging larger glass projects — while pottery mode uses sidewall elements only for even heat distribution during bisque and glaze firings up to cone 10. This flexibility makes the CT102329 Janus an excellent choice for multi-disciplinary studios or high-volume environments looking to maximize output with a single kiln.
