Heat Treat Power on a Standard Household Outlet

If your shop only has standard household power, the Evenheat KH 418 is built for you. It runs on a 120V outlet — no electrical upgrades needed — and still reaches a true heat treat temperature.

The 6.5" W x 4.25" H x 18" Deep chamber gives you 0.29 cubic feet of working space. That's enough room to handle a meaningful production batch — knives, small tool work, jewelry heat treat, and similar tasks all fit comfortably.

The 418 fires up to 2200°F (Cone 5.5), which covers the vast majority of steels used in knife making and small parts heat treat. It runs on 120V at 13 amps with a NEMA 5-15 plug.

Included with every order

Stand with tool rest, Power Interrupt automatic shutoff safety switch, full operator manual, a 2 year limited warranty through Evenheat, free freight shipping to the US Lower 48.

A note on lead time: The 418 is made-to-order and ships directly from the Evenheat factory. There's a lead time on these — give us a call and we'll get you current estimates before you order.

You'll pick your digital controller at checkout. Your options include: TAP Smart touchscreen — virtually unlimited program storage and Wi-Fi capable with the dongle for phone/tablet monitoring; Rampmaster with a numerical keypad, up to 12 firing programs with 8 segments each; Set-Pro — economical digital control. Not sure which one fits your workflow? That's exactly the kind of thing we help with.

My blades have never come out better

Picked up the Evenheat KH 418 for my home knife shop and the results speak for themselves. Consistent heat top to bottom, the STP controller makes programming a snap, and 120V means I didn't need an electrician. Pro Kiln Supply had it shipped faster than I expected and it was packaged incredibly well.

Great to deal with Prokilnsupply My oven took a while past the lead time from the manufacturer and Spencer was super helpful the whole time.

This kiln arrived very well packaged and was very easy to set up and program. I’ve used it to anneal blades, old USA K&F and Nicholson files, and to harden several D2 blades, and it has performed great every time. It’s much more reliable and convenient than my other two kilns, and I’m very happy with it.
