The Cress GL717B is a brick-construction glass kiln — firebrick floor and side walls for optimal heat retention and durability, paired with a 2.5" thick lid with fiber board for easy opening and secure closure thanks to a sturdy locking mechanism.
The 17" W x 17" L x 6.5" D chamber gives you of capacity (1.1 cubic feet) room for fusing platters, slumped pieces, and batched glass projects.
It reaches 1700°F, well within the working range for fusing, slumping, draping, and most kiln-formed glass work.
The GL717B plugs into a standard 120V household outlet. Total draw is 2,100 watts at 18 amps.
