The Cress GLS717E is a brick-construction glass kiln — firebrick floor and side walls for optimal heat retention and durability, paired with a 2.5" thick lid with fiber board for easy opening and secure closure thanks to a sturdy locking mechanism.
The 17" W x 17" L x 6.5" D chamber gives you 1.1 cubic feet of capacity — room for fusing platters, slumped pieces, and batched glass projects.
It reaches 2000°F, well within the working range for fusing, slumping, draping, and most kiln-formed glass work.
The GLS717E runs on 240V — most home and small commercial shops have this available. Total draw is 2,100 watts at 18 amps.
