Largest Stackable Electric Kiln — 11.67 cu ft, Cone 10
The Olympic 2831HE is the largest kiln in the stackable line — 28¼″ wide, 31.5″ deep, 11.67 cubic feet. This is production and institutional equipment: a ceramics program firing for a full class, a studio running a weekly glaze schedule, or large-scale sculptural work that nothing smaller will hold.
Built with 3″ firebrick and rated to cone 10 (2350°F). At this volume the heavy brick earns its keep twice over — a chamber this size would bleed heat badly with thinner walls, and the gentle cool-down is exactly what you want for glaze development on a load this valuable.
The electrical requirement is substantial and worth settling first: 64 amps at 240V or 73 amps at 208V single phase, direct-wired on an 80 or 100 amp breaker with #4 copper. Many studios run this one on 3-phase instead, which drops the draw to 42–48 amps. Call us before ordering and we'll go through your service with you.
Even at 11.67 cubic feet, the sectional body separates into rings for moving, and a lid lift assist comes standard. On a chamber this tall, 2- or 3-zone control is worth serious consideration for top-to-bottom evenness.
