The Olympic DD40 is a downdraft gas kiln built for serious pottery work — reduction firing, cone 10 stoneware, salt firing, and the techniques you simply cannot do in an electric kiln. Downdraft design pulls combustion air down through the ware and out the bottom for even temperature distribution and efficient gas use.
Olympic Kilns has been building electric, gas, and glass firing kilns in Flowery Branch, Georgia for over 50 years. Their kilns are used by hobbyists, production studios, schools, and industrial users throughout the US.

Welded burner system with multi-burner ignition, thermocouple safety shut-off, peephole plugs, full operator manual, a 1 year limited warranty through Olympic, and free freight shipping to the US Lower 48.
Build options include brick or fiber construction, an electronic high-limit controller, a digital pyrometer, galvanized or stainless steel vent hood, rotating door, and a car-kiln upgrade. Give us a call and we'll help you spec the right configuration for your studio.
