The Paragon CT122829 Janus Ceramic and Glass Kiln delivers massive capacity, dual-mode firing, and dependable cone-10 performance in a high-volume kiln designed for studios working in both ceramics and glass. With a 28" interior diameter and 29" depth (10.57 cu ft), it offers exceptional space for tall sculptural work, large platters, and full multi-shelf production loads. Built on Paragon's proven Ceramic Top platform, this model combines industrial-level capacity with the flexibility of Janus dual-mode firing — a true powerhouse for production studios, schools, and serious artists.
Upgraded to 48 amps for faster heat recovery and more consistent performance during demanding firing cycles, the CT122829 uses the Janus dual-mode system — dedicated top and sidewall elements controlled by a simple toggle switch. Glass mode activates the top and mid-side elements for controlled radiant heat, ideal for fusing, slumping, and sagging large-format glass, while pottery mode uses sidewall elements only for even heat distribution during bisque and glaze firings up to cone 10.
