What's the difference between the E and HE stackable series?
The HE series uses 3" firebrick and fires to cone 10 (2350°F). The E series uses thinner brick and is rated to cone 8 (2300°F). For stoneware and porcelain, most potters want the HE. For earthenware and mid-fire work, the E is a solid lower-cost option.
Can Olympic stackable kilns be expanded later?
Yes — the stackable HE/E series is sectional, so you can add a ring section to increase capacity. Contact us to confirm which extensions are compatible with your specific model.
What controller comes standard on Olympic kilns?
Most Olympic kilns ship with the Bartlett KilnStar digital controller. You can upgrade to the Genesis touchscreen controller at checkout for more ramp-hold programs, delay start, preheat, and a built-in cone table.
How long does an Olympic kiln take to ship?
Olympic kilns are made to order in Flowery Branch, Georgia. Standard lead time is 8–12 weeks. Select models are available as Quick Ship Kilns that ship in 1–2 weeks. Contact us to confirm current lead times before ordering.
What electrical setup do Olympic kilns require?
