Glass Fusing on a Standard Household Outlet
If you want to fire serious work but your studio only has standard household power, the Cress FUSER87E was built for exactly your situation. It plugs into any standard 120V outlet — no electrician, no panel upgrade, no dedicated circuit. Just plug it in and fire.
The Cress FUSER87E is part of the Cress Fuser series, purpose-built for glass artists who demand precision, reliability, and control. These kilns are engineered specifically for fusing, slumping, and annealing — with even heat distribution and refined temperature management across the chamber.
The 17.5" W x 6.75" D chamber gives you of capacity (0.99 cubic feet) room for fusing platters, slumped pieces, and batched glass projects.
It reaches 2000°F, well within the working range for fusing, slumping, draping, and most kiln-formed glass work.
The FUSER87E plugs into a standard 120V household outlet. Total draw is 2,160 watts at 18 amps.

Most buyers choose the Prodigy Touchscreen Smart Controller — a full-color touchscreen with intuitive ramp-and-hold programming, real-time monitoring, custom firing profile storage, and built-in safety diagnostics with over-temperature alerts and data logging. Not sure which controller fits your workflow? That's exactly the kind of thing we help with.
