The Paragon Q11 Dual-Media Multipurpose Kiln combines high-temperature firing capability, compact portability, and exceptional versatility into one powerful front-loading design. Reaching temperatures up to 2350°F, the Q11 is engineered for artists, educators, and makers working across multiple disciplines—including silver clay, bronze clay, enameling, porcelain, stoneware, china painting, glass fusing, and lost wax casting. Its lightweight construction and broad firing range make it an ideal studio companion for both professional production and classroom demonstration environments.

Designed as a true multi-application kiln, the Q11 offers the flexibility to fire a wide range of materials without requiring separate specialty equipment. Whether annealing glass, firing porcelain, sintering metal clay, or performing burnout work, the Q11 delivers reliable performance with precise digital control and rapid heating efficiency. Its compact footprint allows it to fit easily into small studios, workshops, classrooms, and mobile teaching setups while still offering the thermal capability needed for demanding firing cycles.

Built with a durable ceramic fiber chamber, the Q11 heats rapidly while maintaining excellent insulation and energy efficiency. Additional insulation between the chamber and outer steel case helps reduce heat loss and supports stable, repeatable firings. Embedded heating elements are recessed into dropped firebrick grooves for protection and easy replacement when maintenance is eventually required.

Unlike many lightweight fiber kilns, the Q11 incorporates 2-1/2" firebrick walls that provide additional thermal mass for more controlled cooling cycles. This design is especially beneficial for small glass annealing projects and applications requiring slower cooldown rates. For larger or more delicate work, users can program controlled cooling segments directly through the Ramp-Hold controller functions.

The front-loading door design provides convenient access for enameling, jewelry work, mold loading, and precision placement of small projects. A spring-loaded latch keeps the chamber tightly sealed while still allowing smooth one-handed operation. The integrated base remains cool during operation and eliminates the need for a separate kiln stand, helping preserve valuable workspace in compact studios.

A pre-installed top vent with stainless-steel cover provides additional flexibility for ventilation, peephole viewing, or pyrometer access. The vent opening is backed by undrilled firebrick, allowing users to customize the opening configuration as needed for specialized firing applications.

The Q11 is especially well-suited for mixed-media artists and educators who require one kiln capable of handling multiple firing disciplines. Its combination of portability, broad temperature range, and precise control makes it equally effective for production studios, instructional environments, workshops, seminars, and traveling demonstrations.

Controller

The Q11 is equipped with the Sentinel Touch Xpress Controller, featuring an intuitive touchscreen interface with both Cone-Fire and Ramp-Hold programming modes. Easily create multi-segment firing schedules, control heating and cooling rates, program hold times, and monitor real-time firing temperatures with precision and repeatability. The Sentinel controller simplifies complex firing cycles while remaining user-friendly for both beginners and experienced artists.

Optional Furniture Kit

Available separately, the Q11 Furniture Kit expands the kiln’s firing flexibility and includes:

  • One C-2 shelf (5" x 5" x 3/8")
  • Four 2" square posts
  • One pound of kiln wash

This accessory package allows users to stack firing layers and maximize chamber efficiency for small production runs and classroom projects.

What’s Included

  • Sentinel Touch Xpress Touchscreen Controller

  • Front-Opening Door with Spring-Loaded Latch
