Salt Bath Heat Treating on a Household Outlet

The Evenheat Salt Bath 709 brings professional salt bath heat treating into shops without 240V service. It runs on a standard 120V outlet and delivers the oxygen-free, even-temperature hardening that salt bath is known for.

The 7" W x 7" L x 9" D chamber Sized to accept the salt pot diameters and depths needed for proper heat treating workflows.

It reaches 2000°F, which covers the salt bath temperature range used for most carbon, alloy, and tool steel hardening. It runs on 120V at 18 amps.

We'd been running a gas salt pot in our shop for years and finally made the switch to the Evenheat 709 when our old setup needed a full rebuild anyway. Best decision we made. The temperature uniformity in a salt bath is something a dry heat oven just can't replicate, you get that instant, even heat transfer all the way through the steel, and the 709 delivers it consistently. We're hardening O1, D2, and the occasional A2 blank and the results have been dead-on every time. Reached out to Pro Kiln Supply before ordering to ask about salt recommendations and amperage requirements, they knew the unit inside and out. Shipped faster than expected and arrived in perfect condition. If you're doing any serious production blade work or tool hardening and you're not using a salt bath, you're leaving performance on the table.
