A 24" Round Glass Kiln Built for Fusing, Slumping, and Casting
The Jen-Ken AF3P 24-E 15" is a versatile round glass kiln that handles three disciplines in one chamber: fusing, deep slumping, and casting. The interior is a 24" round chamber, 15" deep, with 3.9 cubic feet of capacity. The round shape is purpose built for circular work like platters, bowls, decorative plates, and round wall pieces. The depth gives you room for deep slumping molds, draped pieces, and casting reservoirs.
What makes this kiln especially useful is the dual temperature range. Run it at 1700°F for standard glass work like full fuse, tack fuse, slumping, and draping. Crank it up to 2150°F for glass casting, which most fusing kilns can't reach. One kiln that genuinely handles both standard fused glass AND cast glass work, instead of forcing you to commit to one or the other.
Plugs into a standard 240V / 33 amp NEMA 6-50 outlet, 7,920 watts. That's a friendlier amp draw than full size production kilns, so installation is simpler in home studios and small commercial spaces. At 150 pounds, it's also one of the more manageable kilns in this size range.
Included with every order
A heavy duty stand sized for this kiln, the full operator manual, the AF3P digital controller, a 2 year limited warranty through Jen-Ken, and free freight shipping to the US Lower 48.
Who Is This Kiln For?
The 24-E 15" is built for a specific kind of glass artist. Here's how to tell if that's you.
✓ Glass artists who do both fusing and casting
The 2150°F casting capability is rare in glass kilns this size. If your work crosses both disciplines, this means one kiln instead of two.
✓ Artists making round platters, bowls, and plates
The 24" round chamber is purpose built for circular pieces. No wasted space, no compromised firings, just the right shape for the work you're making.
✓ Slumpers and drape artists working with deeper molds
15" depth gives you serious vertical room for deeper slumping molds and large draped pieces that won't fit in a shallow fusing kiln.
✓ Home studios and small commercial spaces
33 amps is friendlier on home electrical than full production kilns, and 150 lbs makes setup manageable without a forklift. Real capability without a major studio buildout.
The 24-E 15" ships standard with the Orton AutoFire 3 Key controller. For more flexibility on your firing schedules (especially useful if you're switching between fusing and casting programs), upgrade at checkout to the AutoFire 12 Key, the touchscreen AutoFire Slide, or the TAP Smart Controller with Wi Fi. The Slide and TAP both store many more programs, which makes a real difference when you're running varied work.
