Wide 28″ Stackable Electric Kiln — 8.34 cu ft, Cone 10
The Olympic 2823HE pairs the widest chamber in the stackable line with a working depth of 22.5″ — 8.34 cubic feet of usable space. It is the kiln to reach for when you need both broad shelves and real volume: a production glaze cycle, a full classroom bisque, or oversized platters stacked several layers deep.
Built with 3″ firebrick and rated to cone 10 (2350°F), it fires porcelain and high-fire stoneware comfortably. The thicker brick also means a chamber this size holds heat efficiently and cools gently, which matters both for glaze development and for element life.
One planning note worth flagging before you order: on 208V single phase this kiln draws 55 amps and ships direct-wired rather than with a plug. On 240V single phase it uses a standard NEMA 6-50. Talk to your electrician about which service you have before the kiln arrives — or call us and we'll walk through it with you.
A lid lift assist comes standard, and the sectional body separates into rings, so even an 8.34 cubic foot kiln can be carried through a standard doorway one section at a time.
Included with every order

Popular options include the Genesis touchscreen controller (delay start, preheat, cone offset, skip step), 2- or 3-zone control, automatic lid shut-off, castors, a Type S thermocouple, dual media, and 480V or 3-phase wiring. Give us a call and we'll help you spec it.
